Terrific show!
The outstanding musicianship of both the individuals and the group at the 'Breakaway Music Festival' was truly remarkable. Lyle, a natural kibitzer, appeared to be having fun on stage, which I really liked. The 2.5-hour show played with his Large Band, a 12 piece group of virtuoso's, was fantastic. The female singer, Ms. Reid (unfortunately, I've forgotten her first name), was superb whether she was accompanying Lyle or being featured. It was evident that most of the other band members have solo albums, which was not surprising to find out. The Muscle Shoals horn section, including a Professor of Saxophone, was a real knock-out. Everyone loved every minute of the performance.
